I am really inspired by this wallpaper I spotted in Ideal Home magazine this month – a new collection from Louise Body, using traditional vases/plants as horizontal motifs. I love it because it features both florals and everyday objects, which creates a very strong and decorative design.

Taking inspiration from magazines such as Ideal Home, Living Etc, and Junior, I have designed a vintage car wallpaper for children (most probably a boy), using a pastel colour palette. Trying to get inspiration from as many sources as possible lately and aiming to pick up ideas from anywhere I go. I have so many old magazines so it’s well worth flicking through them now and again to find anything that may spark a design!

I don’t know about anyone else but I really do think it’s difficult to find a nice gift wrap for males!! They are often just a plain blue ground with happy birthday text, or perhaps footballs, beer patterns, etc. Glick’s selection is a safe and affordable choice, but nothing too out of the ordinary…

I had a go at a mixed collaged of random shapes and put it into repeat, featuring the complimentary colours of blue and orange. I’m still not one-hundred percent sure but think it’s a start…
